Ligris' Terms and Conditions
By placing an order in the Ligris Cybernetics (LC) store, the buyer agrees to to and acknowledges all terms listed below. They cannot request a cancellation or a refund on the basis of any condition included in these TOS.
ORDERING/SHIPPING:
1. The typical order turnaround time is four to six weeks. Any changes will be listed on the home page of Ligris Cybernetics’ website - all orders may be tracked through a Trello board linked below the current turnaround time. This is not subject to change under any condition; LC does not accept rush fees.
2. Cancellations are only allowed up to a week past date of order. After that threshold, the sales are final and the customer will not be refunded – their order will be fulfilled as normal. “I don’t need the base anymore” is not valid enough of a reason to force a cancellation. Please, think your purchases through.
3. Orders that have not yet been fulfilled may be edited at any time through adding new items or changing those already included, with Ligris Cybernetics sending a new invoice to the customer if necessary. However, if one wishes to completely remove an item from their order/change it to a cheaper item, thus forcing LC to issue a refund, it may only be done before the one week mark, as any refund/cancellation.
4. Ligris Cybernetics is not responsible for shipping delays (international shipping may take up to a month, which is not considered a delay in the first place) or customs fees, and cannot help a customer having trouble with either, having no more control over postal services and customs than they do. One may contact the carrier themselves to resolve potential issues. However, orders returned to LC can be shipped again on request, the customer having to cover the extra shipping fees.
5. If an order arrives damaged or with parts missing, LC will provide a free replacement upon receiving proof; refunds, however, will still not be honored.
6. Items that have been ordered in the wrong size due to customer error will not be exchanged. All measurements for every listing have been provided on the website and should be referred to before purchase.
ITEM QUALITY/LIMITATIONS OF THE TECHNIQUE:
7. Each customer acknowledges that 3D printed items are imperfect by nature, with visible layer lines. The bigger the part, the rougher it prints, with head bases being the roughest of all products. The higher layer height used ensures more durability, sacrificing appearance. That does not warrant a “low quality” print, and is merely a limitation of the technique.
8. While LC will never include outright faulty 3D printed items in customer orders, some may have small, cosmetic defects – visible seams, minuscule gaps, and so on. Those cosmetic defects have no effect on usability or durability of the items.
9. Smaller parts, such as jawsets and eye blanks, may require post-processing to look satisfactory. This is normal as well and typical to the FDM 3D print technique.
10. TPU is a notoriously difficult material to print, thus flexible items, like chin stops or ear sets, may look less favorable than others, while remaining perfectly usable.
CUSTOM EDITS/3D MODELS:
11. Ligris Cybernetics does not, and will never, sell or otherwise redistribute his files. All items sold in the store have been sculpted manually from start to finish, and all rights to the 3D models belong to LC. LC does not allow for copying or reproduction of the items sold.
12. Custom edits have been permanently closed, and any and all edit requests will be ignored. However, new generic models (jawset for X head base that doesn’t have one, new head base species, so on) may be requested through email at any time, though there is no guarantee they will be completed.
13. Ligris Cybernetics will not work with model files provided by the customer. More often than not, those files are not ready to print, and require extra work to be printable, or are otherwise unusable, for example mis-scaled.
